LoveLikeFire are an exceptional band originating from San Francisco, California. They bring a sombre, catchy rock genre into its element. The band first formed in 2006, just before Ann Yu (vocals) and David Farrell (drums) were leaving for Los Angeles.  They have released 2 EPs and an album “Tear Ourselves Away” in 2009.

 Although LoveLikeFire have not attained global success, they have toured the UK very successfully and their name is being whispered in more and more places every month. The band’s music is classed as Indie Rock, but this labelling should not discourage listeners. They are not pretentious or teenagery, their music is dark and uplifting simultaneously, perfect for the middle aged and teenagers. Yu’s vocals are amazing and they have several stand-out songs!

 If you’re a fan of darker music like the XX or a fan of female vocals or a fan of  REM they there’s a chance you’ll love LoveLikeFire. Give them a listen!
